The Leather Shopper is handmade by a small artisan producer group, Shanti Handicrafts. They are overseen by SASHA, a WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) certified social enterprise, who ensures that they are complying with WFTO fair trade principles.

Each Shopper is made with chrome-free vegetable tanned leather from a LWG (Leather Working Group) Gold Rated Tannery. LWG Gold Certification ensures that the tannery is satisfying a number of important sustainability requirements such as water recycling and energy saving.
