Hand-oiled with a blend of plant-based oils, beeswax, and propolis to achieve rich shades of walnut brown — natural variation in color tone is to be expected.

Each pair is made by master shoemakers in the shoes’ town of origin: Athani, India. The leather keeps getting softer, richer, and custom-formed to your foot the more you wear them.

Details / Walnut Leather

Every pair oiled by hand using a blend of plant-based oils, beeswax, and propolis. The deep brown won’t rub off on your feet, and can be easily re-conditioned at home using Obenauf’s leather oil. Our traditionally-tanned water buffalo is made by hand in small batches, so each pair has a unique surface grain; natural variation in color tone is to be expected.

  • Dyed with plant-based leather oil; nothing synthetic, no hard-to-pronounce chemicals
  • Full-grain water buffalo leather molds to your feet over time for the perfect fit
  • Cushioned footbed
  • Soft leather lining
  • Stacked leather midsole
  • Durable, grippy crepe rubber sole
Size Guide / Slides + City Slippers

Order your true size. Size up if you’re a half size.

It’s ok if your foot is very close to the back edge when they’re brand new, as long as your heel isn’t hanging over. They’ll stretch and soften to make more room.

    Hand-oiled, not dyed

Every pair is oiled by hand using a Obenauf’s Leather Oil — a unique blend of plant-based oils, beeswax, and propolis to achieve rich and lasting shades of walnut brown. Several well-applied coats turn our water buffalo leather shades deeper, resulting in a polished yet extremely wearable shoe. This kind of leather has been used to make shoes in Athani for generations; it’s tanned nearby in a small batch traditional process that makes for beautiful, high quality leather.

    Where are they made?
